As a graduation requirement I worked as an unpaid intern at the Fairfax Art Council under Lisa Mariam. For this month my responsibilities included going to find public art and updating the public art database for the community to see. As well as visiting various youth and senior centers around the community and engage with them while exploring with art.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Brother’s Keeper Initiative concentrates on providing school related services and items to disadvantaged families in preparation of upcoming school years. Services include medical related activities, school supplies (i.e. book bags, coats, shoes, books, pens, pencils, etc) and information for additional social service resources. In 2016 my art produced the cover and back cover of the Brother’s Keeper book.
Thanksgiving Baskets campaign provides hundreds of families in need with groceries necessary to allow for a traditional thanksgiving dinner. Volunteering efforts include packing boxes, delivering gifts to families and offering gift cards to ensure families can provide for their members.
